Insurance is one thing not many people enjoy having. Second to paying for gas it is the worst thing that hits your paycheck. If you have insurance on your car you need to keep it but there is also insurance for dogs. Now companies are offering insurance for your dogs. Even though you love your dog and they are probably your best friend I don't know about the whole health insurance thing. If you can only afford to feed yourself and the dog then you may think there is no way you can get pet insurance.
However if you are living on a tight budget this may be the very reason to get a dog insurance policy. The normal dog owner takes their dogs to the vet for check ups 3 times a year and every year it adds up to over two hundred bucks. Well, if you do not like the bill every time get insurance for your pet and you won't have to worry about the big bill every time you visit the vet.
If your dog was to get hurt and fell
into sickness the bills will rack up fast and will leave you no choice but to drain your bank account so get pet insurance. If you are leaving your home for a vacation and can't take the dog then how can you afford for it to be in a kennel and expect it to be fed for a low price, you can't until you have dog and pet insurance. Your dog is probably the best friend you have and it would be horrible if you had to put him to sleep because you couldn't pay the vet bills, so get dog insurance today and you won't ever have to worry about paying those outrageous bills every time you see the vet.
For $10 a month you can probably get your dog on a health insurance plan. Even though it won't cover every thing it will cover something that will be of some help when you go to the vet. Just looks around you can more than likely find a pet health care plan that will cover just about everything from visits to boarding solutions so keep researching before you get a plan.
The type of questions you should ask the company that is trying to sell the health care insurance for you pet to you is whether your vet will accept the insurance plan and not have to be a certain type or company of insurance. There are probably many kinds of insurance for your pet so you need to look around before you buy just anything for him because you could buy the wrong insurance and it might cost you again at the vet before you can get the right policy.

This kind of dog is known for its aggressiveness to other dogs but as a pet they will be your companion. These dogs are well known for their intelligence and loyalty and are also very protective of their owners. Many people mistake them for staffies, which is short for Staffordshire terrier but this is not a staffie. An American pit bull terrier is a mix of two dogs, a terrier and bulldog. They are of their own kind and cannot and should not be referred to as staffies. I have seen the UKC shows and I have never seen a pit bull on it.
These are some things that the owner may want to know about pit bulls. They are classified as terriers by the kennel organizations, hence the full name, American Pit Bull Terrier. They are equally happy indoors or outdoors, although we tend to keep ours indoors the majority of the time because they love being around us. They are very social dogs and will go bonkers if you don't give them a lot of attention.
These are also short haired dogs with coats that are shiny and smooth although they do come in a great variety of colors. We currently have a female that is black with a white chest and nose and another that is the desired red nose variety that is red all over. He also has golden eyes and is one of the most beautiful pits I have ever seen.
American Pit Bull Terriers vary greatly in size as well. The dog that my son has is only around 45 pounds while his father was about 90 pounds. They range from thirty to over one hundred pounds depending on their lineage and are usually from 18 to 24 inches tall although I have seen some larger.
As with any dog they should be bathed on a regular basis to keep them clean and free of irritants. You should also brush them twice a month and rub them down with a towel or rag to shake off loose hair. Also be sure that they get plenty of exercise so that they will sleep well at night. If you are exercising them in public always keep them on a leash to avoid any accidents.
Due to their fierce loyalty and protectiveness it is best that you socialize the animals with as many people and other animals as possible when they are young. If you do this you will avoid the problems that many people have with them when they are older. I have had several and none of them have been aggressive. It is all in how you raise them.

Every time you go to the pound you should realize it may be better to take home a dog you think you will like than to raise it from a puppy. Others like having the puppies and it is of advantage to raise them because you can control him and will know how he grew up.
The next time you will feel you did something right for your dog is when you get the insurance for him. If you get liability insurance for your dog this is for the other party incase your dog ever bit anyone. Almost every dog that was bread to guard or to be guard dogs should have liability insurance just in case they do bite.
If you have pet insurance you might already know that some companies just won't cover those certain breeds because they are injury prone or are common to sickness. Some breeds have genetic issues that the insurance companies know will just be a problem and cost more to the insurance company.
Some owners may have trouble taking well care of the cocker spaniels kidneys as a puppy until they pass the age of two due to a condition known as Familial Nephropathy which can be fatal. If you have one of these types of dogs than if you don't know they will develop a genetic disorder known to shut their kidneys down from ages 6months to 2 years old so be sure to take care of your puppy. This problem is normally always fatal because there are virtually no signs of it coming to the dog and they just can't help it. Obviously most insurance companies also don't like to cover that sort of thing either
A lot of other dogs have hip problems like golden retrievers, pit bulls, and many other dogs. Hip dysplasia is a genetic problem that affects the dog in its hips. These dogs probably all walk bowlegged and at older ages will have hip problems if not taken care of properly. A lot of pet heath insurance companies will not give you a policy until you have tests done to see if you're dog is problem free of these hip disorders.
Bulldogs are the type that are prone to all kinds of problems heat strokes, breathing problems and sleeping problems are all issues that a bulldog might have. Great Danes have a long rap sheet about hip problems and other problems as well. So before you go and get any type of dog remember to try and get pet insurance because if you don't it might be a problem to your family when you can not pay the vet bills every time you go to the vet even if it is just a check up.
